Spec UGC Ad

260 euros for nothing.

A UGC spot that turns subscription waste into an instantly relatable moment.

The brief

Subscription management apps compete on one feeling: the shock of realizing how much you are wasting. Emma needed a creator-style ad that made that feeling immediate and shareable, without sounding like a finance tool.

The thought process

The whispery, almost embarrassed opening does the heavy lifting. The creator is not angry. He is disappointed in himself. That is more relatable than outrage. The number, 11 euros a month for two years, is specific enough to feel real. The total, 260 euros, is the payoff that makes the viewer want to check their own subscriptions.

Showing the app on screen with the full list of subscriptions is the product demo. No feature tour, no UI walkthrough. Just the list. The viewer sees their own life in that list. The smile at the end is relief, not excitement. That contrast sells the app better than any feature claim.

How we work

  1. 01 Find the one number that makes the viewer flinch. Here: 260 euros wasted.
  2. 02 Cast a creator who can play embarrassed, not angry. Vulnerability converts.
  3. 03 Let the app do the talking. The subscription list is the hero, not a UI tour.
  4. 04 End on relief, not a sales pitch. The smile is the call to action.
